We are pleased to announce this incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo’s Transformation Management Office (TMO) as a Senior Manager Transformation and Process Excellence in our Doha Office

In this role, you will focus on leading the Center of Excellence unit across the entire Cargo Division. The task includes designing and executing the continuous improvement efforts in VISION 2027 through the Lean Six Sigma methodology. You are expected to engage senior leaders to identify and scope Lean-related business challenges under VISION 2027, apply fact-based analyses, drive problem solving and develop actionable recommendations to drive business impact through improvements in cost, customer experience and operational efficiency.

As part of your role, your Key Responsibilities will include:

 

Act as a Strategic Transformation Partner for Cargo Leadership and Executives
Manage the continuous strategic planning, monitoring, analysis and assessment of QR Cargo lean Initiatives and trainings
Provide critical thinking and influence by helping to link VISION 2027 strategic agenda to the implementation plan
Formulate whenever required Lean policies and lead their implementation
Identify gaps in existing process capabilities and propose areas for improvement and develop road map/ business plan for future business improvement
Identify and facilitate opportunities for process mapping, baselines, challenging targets, digitisation and continuous improvement initiatives
Support the execution of systematic approach, proactive problem solving and preventive actions by training, developing, coaching and mentoring any key stakeholder in Cargo
Provides guidance and counsel in the development of long term and short-term plans involving strategic development, resource allocation, work plans, timelines, and financial outcomes
Engage Business Unit leaders regarding requirements to deliver on strategies and partnerships to identify Lean opportunities by initial scoping
Ensure End to End process improvement implementation across Cargo
Must be able to Train Lean Yellow, Green and Black Belt classes
Provide subject matter expertise and industry best practices related to business transformation
Become a Change Management champion by collecting inputs from multiple stakeholders

Qualifications
About you

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 12 years of job-related experience
Demonstrated practical and strategic leadership experience in a Lean and continuous improvement culture
Experience with exposure to a culture of continuous improvement and ability to work at all levels across the organization.
Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt trained
Experience implementing large scale initiatives and tracking results
Degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, or Engineering from a top-tier institution
Relevant experience in a cargo organisation performing similar duties
Previous consulting experience preferably with large corporations
Project and change management experience.
Experience in the design and improvement of processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required; Ability to recommend alternative solutions and translate complex concepts into simplified and understandable examples
Strong understanding of business process mapping; application of these principles to solving complex business problems
Ability to work across all levels and lead through influence
Experience managing teams; proven ability to lead and motivate
Strong understanding of End to End business improvements
Proven track record of setting direction, leading large scale projects and engaging team
